Free. No accounts. Everything to grow.

Grab free seeds.
Every pack is free, paid for by local sponsors. Two kinds inside: The Tall One, a giant for the contest, and The Show-Off, a branching mix the bees adore. Pick one up at a partner shop or get it mailed.

Plant it. Water it. Brag.
The sunniest dirt you've got, an inch deep. Water deep, not daily. Stake it by waist height. Photo check-ins on May 1, June 5 and July 4: sprout, knee-high, sky.

Show it off.
A volunteer crew shows up with a ladder and a tape: soil to the tip of the head, officially recorded. Most Blooms is judged by photo, and the Sprout Division is for growers 12 and under. The family record is fifteen feet. Beat it and we'll be thrilled, and quietly furious.

Then we throw the Harvest Party.
Bring the heads and the stalks. Seed roasting, the Seed Spit, the Stalk Toss, trophies for the winners, and the Seed Return table, where this season quietly plants the next one. Every leftover dollar goes to growing food education for Birmingham kids.
See the partyIt started with two kids and one ridiculous flower.
“I was inspired by watching my kids enjoy these sunflowers growing.”
That's the founder's whole origin story, and these are the actual flowers. A few seeds went in by the porch. By August they'd cleared the gutter and bent down over the kids like the world's slowest, kindest shower. The kids checked every single morning. SunflowerEmpower is that feeling, scaled up to a whole city.
Wonder for the kids. Gold for the streets. A feast for the bees. One party at the end.
